1. LOVE, LOVE, the Pointer Sisters.

Listened to them a lot in the late 80's, then my company hired them for a Christmas party! WOW oh WOW!!! There were only about 1000 people there in a huge auditorium, so it was really easy to be at the front of the stage and that's where we stayed for the entire concert. There were 5 couples just totally grooving in front, having way too much fun dancing, drinking and laughing with the joy of the moment. When Ruth threw out a handkerchief that she'd just used to wipe down her brow, she threw it to my husband! Such a prized possesion!!

Jump by the Pointer Sisters is my all time favorite song to dance to, it's sublime! Fever is pretty freaking awesome too in a totally different way.

3. What a treat

Judging by their TV appearances and their videos they know how to put on the show. Is the handkerchief on the wall or under glass or what?

It's a treasure! I think it was the most fun I ever had in my life - so yeah, a pure and unexpected treat. We didn't know until they came on that they were the featured group, so also an amazingly good surprise.

I was so happy for them when they struck gold in the 80s.
