We All Die Young was sung by Mike Matijevic who was a member for the band Steelheart, but still, it's a pretty good movie with some great rock songs.

1. I Enjoyed That Movie

Another one I liked was The Rocker with Rainn Wilson.
Catchy tunes in that one.
Not sure if one doesn't need to have been in bands to dig it, though.
It got decent reviews but bombed at the box office.
