(77,306 posts)Sounds really cool on this song.
That's one mean guitar tone Kenny has, too. I detect a tiny amount of an octave divider creating that ultra high cutting sound.
sestina
(530 posts)mean that they are singing in different octaves from each other or does it mean that they are singing in a lower or higher octave for the chorus than they were for the verse? Or something else?
I can hear the cutting sound that you mentioned; I think it's in the ending guitar rif.
Maybe your comment has helped me understand why I like this song so much.

(77,306 posts)...the same note, an octave apart. In this case, Kenny is singing 8 notes above the other guy.
The fellow with the acoustic is singing the verses alone, then the octave singing comes in on the chorus.
Adds a "size" to the chorus that the verses don't have.
As to the guitar, I hear it everywhere, but it's more obvious when he's playing up the neck like he is near the end.

(530 posts)I greatly appreciate it.
I suspected that would be the answer, but I wanted to be sure. I enjoy it even when I can't easily recognize it.
with a careful listen repeatedly, I can hear it in some places. Makes me happy!
