The clean jangly sounds, the slightly dirty, the full on crunch.
They're really good at getting good guitar tones that work well together.
Really good stuff.

...that I saw that fits your description was Smithereens. Saw them at a summer fest deal in the city where my wife and I grew up.
Same thing; sounded just like the albums.
