1. The Clav Is Ever So Slightly Out Of Tune, Which...

...on those sections where he's doubling on piano, comes off as a really old-timey piano sound.
Like a saloon player on a birdcage piano.
Gives it a really fun character.

2. It's joyful. They played with passion. ELP and Moody Blues never got their proper credit, IMHO.

Too much Stones/Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin Bandwidth to compete?

3. That Could Be It

The same could be said for Yes, I suppose. Fantastic players doing interesting tunes with outstanding singers.
But, they were nothing compared to Zeppelin or the Stones. Not that they will be holding tag days for ELP, Yes, or the Moodys. But yeah, I would have thought they'd have been even bigger.

4. Sometime in 1969 I think, I switched from AM to FM and never went back.

16 and a decade of truly remarkable music by so many musical talents and their ideas/ I was blessed.

5. I saw both versions of ELP

The one with Cozy Powell in 1986 and the original one with Palmer in 1998.
