1. Don't take me wrong, The Boss is The Man without question

But the MMB cover handily smokes the original. To me, it's like Jimi's "All Along the Watchtower". And I love love love that Midnight Special performance, watched it many times. It's kickass.

I played that album almost every day for a whole year.

But Sprongsteens has its nuance.

Covers seem to be about 50:50.
Half the time, the original is better. The other half, the cover is superior.
This is one of the latter. A big, big improvement over the original.
BTW: Since you brought up "Watchtower", here's my cover. It's very different than either version you mentioned.
