even though much of my more personal shared music here is from genres like "world music", "new-age" (so called), "rock", and other labels "they" attach to music that often fail to truly capture what it is, a great deal of the on radio stuff I listen to (Sirius XM and select local stations) fall into two general categories: 70's rock and alternative (80's,90's,00's). Some of which blend and cross-over into other genres and sub-genres, of course, but yes, a lot of great stuff from those eras (imo).

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
