3. Did It For A Short Time

Was a simple filler tune in the earliest days of the band.
It was a big hit, so people wanted to hear it & it was a tune the bass player could sing.
As our style started to develop more fully, it didn't fit, so it had to go.
We replaced it with a U2 song that was more us.
I love the movie, though. I enjoyed the sequel, too.

We may have a cassette from a night at that big club near Rockford we used to play.
I have a vague recollection of that.
If I find it, I can easily add an audio file to my YouTube page.

I do remember enjoying playing the sax solo on my sampler.
I will dig through some old drawers.
