I became a huge Beatles fan in 1978. Even if I don't listen to one of their albums for years, I can still remember the lyrics and which song came before and after it.

I'm sure I would be a good contestant on a "Name that Beatles Song in 1 Minute" tv show, if there was one.

That's because I sang along with the whole albums as though they was one song.

The same with a lot of other albums too. Not just the Beatles. Albums used to be produced with a flow, not just one song after the next but complimentary songs becoming extensions of the prior songs.

Once, in 1982 my sister heard me singing to one of my albums and she noticed that I started singing the next song on the album in a nano second. She asked me how I knew that. I guess that if someone isn't into listening to whole albums they wouldn't understand how your ears/brain work.
