My oldest brother married an ethnic Ukrainian.
I grew up in Western Canada where the Ukrainian diaspora population is over 1.3 million. In school half the kids I went to school with were of Ukrainian descent. Perogies, cabbage rolls, is a part of our Christmas celebration. Now Ukrainian refugees are coming here again.
