On this day, February 6, 1943, Fabian was born.

For the life of me, I can't recall a single one of his songs.

His last name is news to me too.

He shows up on TV in "North to Alaska" every now and then.

He was a pop singer want-to-be in the late 50s and early 60s. WestMichRad 1 hr ago #1
He really couldn't sing or act, but he had the two things necessary to be a teen idol in the late 1950s. rsdsharp 1 hr ago #2

Think of a lesser version/imitator of Dion. If we’d been around then, we might remember a couple of his songs. But I listened to snippets of a few Fabian songs on Apple music, and didn’t recognize any of them (and I do know some of the popular music of that era).

Meh.

He was good looking, and lived close to WFIL-TV where American Bandstand originated
