But ... it's a LOT ... just like every REM song on IRS ...

Good choice

And allow me to add the album closer, cause I freaking ADORE this song ... Mills' backing vocals are just so amazing on this song ...

It was at great woods in Mass. It was just after automatic for the people came out. I remember that Stipe had a music stand with lyrics for man in the moon. He commented that in a previous concert he screwed up the lyrics so he figured it would better to be have them present than do that again.

There was a moment in the concert where everyone was on their feet except for the front row. Michael Stipe asked the front row why they weren't standing when everyone else was including those of us on the grass far behind the seats. He performed another song and the front row was still not standing so he told them that those of us in the back would be grateful to have those expensive seats and that if they weren't going to join in the fun well then "f you" lol

Plus I saw them on Monster tour, my one and only time (sadly) of seeing them. And that was '95, I remember which girlfriend I went with and when we dated Also I remember learning What's The Frequency (Kenneth) in my 1994 cover band, towards the end of that year, when it was a new song.

AFTP came out around when Nevermind and Achtung Baby and Use Your Illusion came out ... 91 or 92.

Just sayin'
