Milk Cow Norman Greenbaum.1969. When I was a kid I bought 45 R.M.P 6 Inch records. I loved them for the reason they had the song I wanted. I really loved it when they had a picture sleeve (A.K.A) the jacket. They would have photos of the band or a reproduction of the artist’s album. There were the A side and a B Side. The A side would be the hit song and the B Side would be a throw away song. The Beatles and Sometimes the Rolling Stones would have hit on both sides. A prime example was 1967 Beatles 45, Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane. Most singles had throwaway songs. I am going to do series called: On the Bee side. I will upload they were on the flipside of a 45. This particular song was on the flip side of Norman Greenbaum's only hit song: Spirit in the shy. Enjoy On the bee side #1

The cast-offs that didn't make the record but appeared as B-Sides on the hit singles were mostly freaking fantastic ... one of them, Sweetest Thing, even got a video, and has come to be one of their most beloved songs ... legend has it Bono forgot Ali's birthday during making TJT, so he wrote this for her in apology ... and made this vid ... I say it was a pretty good recovery ...
