Starship Trooper

Hadn’t heard this song in ages, now it’s been stuck in my for nearly a week (not that I mind).

The old rock radio stations really spoiled us with great tunes. I didn’t realize until recently that we must have had a dj here in DC who was a huge Yes fan. When you haven’t heard a song in over 20 years and still know every word, that means it got a lot of airplay.

Old Yes is God 's music. I remember buying this album in college and thought I died and gone to heaven.

where I was closed off from everyone and everything. I’ve been free of methadone since early 2019 (it definitely saved my life, but, damn, it sucks all feeling, motivation, and interest out of ya). Ever since, I have been rediscovering the things I love. It’s been overwhelming, in a great way.

Went through probably 6 months of all Pink Floyd, all the time, then moved onto Phish, then Traffic, then Steely Dan. December has been Yes and King Crimson. Of course, the Dead has been ongoing throughout it all (after the Floyd phase, which I admit was freakin’ hardcore. As it should be, lol!).

Early Yes is absolutely the shit!

loved (and still do) Yes like crazy when in college. Music was so creative, not to mention the beautiful album covers....still listen to them and others from that era (Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, ELP, Moody Blues and others) via Spotify or Pandora....

either 105.9 or 100.7 because that’s mostly what I listened to (along with DC101, 99.1, and WDCU for their jazz and bluegrass nights).
