2. Ginger was right wing, but of course that was nothing like what we have today.

So was Barbara Stanwyck and Walter Brennan. I’m not sure about Gary Cooper, but didn’t he turn in names to Congress. And didn’t Robert Taylor? I forget. Edward G. Robinson had a hard time.

Even Gene Kelly was trashed by them on the right. He did nothing.

I just like these movies for what they are, but at the same time I’ve got something at the back of my throat about them.

Myrna Loy and Bette Davis were two good ones.
