It's the end of the work week. I'm working at home.

It's the end of the work week. I'm working at home. My boss's birthday is on Sunday, and I wished her a happy birthday. She wasn't expecting that.

I've pulled out a few Walkman-type devices to see if they still work. The two I've tried have a problem or two (or three). I've got a Panasonic cassette-AM-FM player running now. I'm listening to a mix tape made from broadcasts of the late, great WHFS, of Bethesda, Maryland, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

The tape started with a parody of "Sesame Street" set on Christopher Street, featuring the Caca Monster. It went from there into the DJ's remix of Pete Shelley's "Homo Sapiens" and on to Robin Scott's "Dance on the Ruins."

So much greatness. You're missing something good. And this is just one tape.

Just on:

I have that last one on "The Guitars That Destroyed The World."

What's on side B?
