(33,643 posts)First time I did that in YEARS ... and yup ... it's still a f***ing great album. Not a duff track on that thing, and just so many standouts. Even the filler like Darlington County & Working On The Highway are still fun to listen to. Then there's borderline classics you don't here that much like No Surrender, Bobby Jean, and My Hometown.
Yeah ... great stuff. I also really love the Tunnel of Love album, especially side 2.

(31,895 posts)youd have to search long and hard to find any clinkers on a Springsteen album.
I can still remember when I first brought home The Wild, The Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle ... mustve played it 5 times in a row. Those were the days youd follow the lyrics on the album liner to the music ...such great stuff....

Still gonna make a pilgrimage to Asbury Park one of these days.....about 2 hours from my house. Dream scenario: I'm watching a Southside Johnny show there at the Stone Pony and Bruce comes in and plays a long set. Then I have a beer with him

(31,895 posts)My roommate lived in NJ about 45 min. from Asbury Park. I went home with her one weekend and we went down to the shore one night bar hopping and ended up at the Stone Pony. Sadly, Bruce did not show up ... lol ... this was the mid 70s.
Drove by his house the next day, well, just the driveway, since it was gated and set back among some beautiful rolling hills. Good times ....
