I was sad to hear of the recent passing of Mazzy's guitarist/songwriter David Roback in February. Dude had a stylish way of playing.

I dedicated to my cat Vinny because he'd just gaze into my eyes and I into his,for long times.

He's no longer with me but his beautiful eyes and golden heart are seared into my memory,and I feel that love once more.

I played fade into you as I buried him crying.

who played rhythm guitar on a few tracks on that album (but left before their 2nd disc which has this song) ... she was a friend of a friend.

If you've never heard that record ... it's VERY worth a listen. In fact, I slightly prefer it to this disc as a whole ... though it doesn't have a song as great as this one, it's overall a little better IMHO.

This was one of the first 5 or so songs I ever learned to play and sing at the same time on the guitar ... first song on She Hangs Brightly ...
