the 70's were an odd time. But some of the best songwriting was going on
And I pre-emptively dismiss all the hating anybody wants to give me
Firefall, Ambrosia, Poco, Dave Mason, Loggins and Mussina, Dan Fogleberg (with Tim Weissberg) were all so damn good that they never even needed a barre chord or distortion pedal

1. In retrospect, yes indeed. It was an _amazing_ time for music.
Never, ever to be repeated.

2. I have that Fogelberg/Weinberg album on vinyl
Was Power of Gold a great song or what? Now I’ve got to go listen to it again!
Fogelberg wrote some really great songs. It’s too bad almost all you ever used to hear from him is “ Another Auld Lang Syne” on the radio. “Dancing Shoes” superb. “Believe in Me” .... “Part of the Plan” ... “Love Gone By”. .... |

Those were the best years of my life , but, you're right, some of the greatest music ever, came from that time.

4. What?
Just singers and/or bands? No half nude dancers to bring out the talent!?
I am old. Was 14/15 when rock came on. For a long time the songs of those times was the greatest but eventually had to admit the 60s and 70s were better. Now about those dancers... |

6. How lucky was Ambrosia to have
Alan Parsons engineer their first album. I’ve listened to Holding on to Yesterday several times last month. It’s flawless. Also have listened to a Dan Fogelberg hidden gem False Faces.
