This is either everything you love about it, or the entire reason you hate this genre.
I love it, but can only take it in moderation.

(13,188 posts)I think Roundabout was radioed to death, All Good People reminded me of Supertramp and Starship Trooper was too noisy.
All good songs, but Closer to the Edge is pretty close to flawless.
I have a soft spot for this one too - Not a classic but a cool jam and a fun song to bust out after some whiskey

(11,800 posts)It was a long minute intro. But I love Ian Anderson. He has such a distinct and interesting vocal style. It's like listening to a bar room crooner in the 1700's... Once the vocals kicked in I was so down with this.
Don't know if you saw the post, I was playing a video game set in S. America and this was on one of the radio stations in the game. I was positive this was Tull. Positive. 100% Positive. So sure I wasn't taken aback by the vocals in Spanish.... Great fucking tune.

(11,800 posts)I'll post a couple more for you. The classic rock station in the game just killed. There was a Steve Miller kinda dude, a Jimi kinda guy. Let me research and I'll get a couple up for you.

(11,800 posts)Couple bands back I did a killer version of Sure Got Cold After The Rain Fell. I think Ohiogal would back me up on that. She's heard a live version. Killer song. Killer record man!
And I can't find out who the latino Jimi is. Best I can do is go to the 6 7 point....
