I love the Beatles, listen to the Beatles channel on Sirius/XM all the time when I'm in the car, but I switch to another channel whenever that song comes on. It's too long, it just goes on and on and on, and it's so damn monotonous with all the NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NAs at the end. And I've never been that crazy about the parts that come before the beginning of the monotony, either. "Hey Jude" keeps coming up in the top 5 every time the Beatles channel has one of those fan polls, but not because I'm voting for it. I wouldn't even vote it in my top 100 Beatles songs. I would vote "I Am the Walrus" at No. 1 and "When I'm 64" at No. 2.

One of the The Beatles’ biggest hits, “Hey Jude,” became a record-breaking release for multiple reasons.
The Paul McCartney-penned single topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks in 1968, tying the record for the longest reign at No. 1. Clocking in at 7:11, “Hey Jude” became the longest single to top the British charts as well.

McCartney originally wrote the song for John Lennon’s then-five-year-old son Julian during John’s separation from his first wife Cynthia Lennon.
The record also marked the first release on The Beatles’ Apple Records imprint, and its anthemic, sing-along chorus has helped the song remain one of the group’s best-known hits to this day.
