In 1983, I joined the Columbia Record & Tape Club. I remain a cassette-carrying member.

Alice Cooper, CSNY, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Santana. The list of vinyl goes on. Saved money from my paper route to make the required purchases at regular prices. I remember I was playing "eighteen" by Alice and Dad walked by my bedroom and hollered, "What in the hell is that you're playing?" I said Alice Cooper. He said. "Damn, she's got a terrible voice!"
