2. I Miss Leon

Glad Elton John gave him his due and introduced him to a new generation.

3. TCM aired Les Blanks' 1974 documentary on Leon recently

This recording is taken from there. Anyway, it’s an absolute must for all Leon fans.

5. Thanks

I will check that out. Growing up in the 60s and 70s Leon was special for many of his fellow Oklahomans.

4. I'm almost 74 yrs old, and remember singing this song as a young girl

In boarding school. We all had shared responsibilities in the school, that were rotated every few weeks. I was given after dinner chores once, putting dirty dishes on the conveyor belt. The nun in charge of our “crew” was Sister Irene.

We sang this to her every night after we finished up. Fond memories.
