Fripp described the Wetton/Bruford rhythm section as a "flying brick wall" - aptly so.

Now, Tony Levin is a world-class hero no matter who he's playing with.
Also, RIP John Wetton. The tone of his voice, so...Wettonesque.

Wetton and Buford are heavenly, but the power of Mastelotto and Gavin Harrison is just incredible. As much as I love Tony Levin, but Wetton's tone is so nasty and brutal, he inspired me to pick up the bass.

because of the way Wetton is playing the hell out of the bass into distortion.

It's one that Bruford found literally in the trash, and added it to his kit - it's almost like a China cymbal.
