1977 I think.
Yesterdays Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald brought back this memory.
I know he was living large and with 'chemically enhanced' crowd for awhile, but he always could tell a story in song.
Knowing that he is Canadian, I can almost see a mostly empty tea mug on wooden table in front of him, darkening city windows behind him as the door to the kitchen is opening...

Its available on Amazon, and you can reserve it from the library. There is also a good book about him by Nicholas Jennings. Cant remember the title.
