In fact, this song, which is the title of Stephen King's movie version of "The Body," a short story in the Different Seasons novella collection, is a favorite movie, song, and dance number of mine. Much joy in this work!!

1986. My wife and I were Gary Hart Dems. There were a few Democrats in play.

Anyway, we got an invite to Steve and Tabitha's place in Bangor the night before the caucus. That morning, I sliced my middle finger on a 10" saw blade. Stopped, but still sharp. Trip to outpatient, stitched, and wrapped. Anyways, a few hours later - some relaxants and into Bangor.

So, anyways, I show up with my wife Tammy at Steve and Tabitha's place. I have to keep my middle finger up, for pressure purposes. Steve saw me and said "fuck you, too" and laughed his ass off.

Saw Steve's "word factory". Wow, he had his own word processing (UNIX?) system that had stacks and stacks of sheets of stories.....

...did the original, but Otis, as always, does it justice. The man died too young. We are all poorer for the loss.

..spice to an old favorite--their performance was spectacular. Prince Royce introduced a classic song, made it bi-lingual for a new generation to enjoy [ including older fans like myself.] Just loved their performance together! [at link]

Ben E. King passed away in April of 2015, he was 76; singer, song writer; he also sang vocals with the Drifters; and, co-wote, Stand By Me. Otis Redding's rendition is timeless tambien, too.
