REM: You Are The Everything

Gawd, I had forgotten about this song. After discussion about REM late last night, I listened to the Green album in the car today and cried. It’s so beautiful. It’s weird how lyrics stay trapped in the head for decades, even if you haven’t heard or used them in all that time.

1. i played guitar and sang that song at my brothers wedding :)

That song and Hairshirt ... best songs on that album.

And along with Nightswimming, those are Michaels 3 greatest vocal performances IMHO.

Okay, World Leader Pretend is also an amazing one on that album. And I Remember California.

The tourfilm version ... is pretty sweet.

I saw them in concert when they toured Green and, of course, they played this. Oh frabjous day!
