We don't want them to get lost in the shadows.
Dame Shirley Veronica Bassey, DBE (/ˈbæsi/; born 8 January 1937) is a Welsh singer, whose career began in 1953, well known for her expressive voice and for recording the soundtrack theme songs to the James Bond films Goldfinger (1964), Diamonds Are Forever (1971), and Moonraker (1979).[2][3][4] In January 1959, Bassey became the first Welsh person to gain a No. 1 single.
In 2000, Bassey was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for services to the performing arts. In 1977 she received the Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist in the previous 25 years. Bassey is one of the most popular female vocalists in Britain.
Robert Alan Krieger (born January 8, 1946) is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter best known as the guitarist of the rock band The Doors; as such he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Krieger wrote or co-wrote many of the Doors' songs, including the hits "Light My Fire", "Love Me Two Times", "Touch Me", and "Love Her Madly". After the Doors disbanded, Krieger continued his performing and recording career with other musicians including former Doors bandmates John Densmore and Ray Manzarek. He was listed by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.

(57,393 posts)I can get songs off the albums, and I can get recent videos, but I always try to get videos from way back when if I can. Please post one if you find one. The site that Doors video came from might be productive.
Thanks for writing.

(51,584 posts)is memorable since Ed Sullivan told the Doors not to sing the lyrics, "Couldn't get much higher" but The Doors always had to make decisions as a unanimous group, all 4 had to agree. Jim basically gave Sullivan a middle finger and sang the original lyrics live. Sullivan was livid and said they'd never play his show again. They didn't care. Robby wrote many of their songs, not just Jim. In fact Jim told all the member that they had homework and instructed all of them to write a song over the weekend. Robby took his "homework" seriously.
