I was shocked to see that at some point in the late 70's/early 80's he played a concert at a stupid summer pool/picnic grove site just north of Pittsburgh. I was bummed - I didn't know he was there until after it had happened.
But wow, a stupid little "concert" area that probably only had less than 500 people there. 
summer fair/fire company carnival gig! Hard to imagine someone that "big" ever doing small shows like that. This was just outside of New Kensington......
