From 7th grade until 60-ish.

My love of Roy has never waned or wavered..

I even love his attempts to get funky in the 70s

... had taken an interest in him and was promoting him, and I was DJ'ing at WAUB ( then Akron Univ station, now its WZIP).

Flipped the tape and didn't hit record and didn't get the last of the interview.

I was pretty saddened when he passed.
