(61,033 posts)The deep, raspy baritone sound of Bill Medley and the tenor of Bobby Hatfield that could reach very high falsetto notes, both staples of Black, R&B male groups, still holds up and sounds great today.
I've watch reaction videos of young, Black reviewers who are amazed at the sound and the voices and the fact the the singers are White and not Black.

His Unchained Melody live performances is really unmatched. There is a current rendition by Austin Brown, which is really good, but there is definitely sweetening effects on the vocals which didnt exist in 1965.
