(53,815 posts)2. Four Tops v The Temptations? Both great groups but I was a Four Tops man.
Together since high school, Levi Stubbs was offered over and over to be the front man and have the group be called Levi Stubbs and the Four Tops but he always refused. He even shared the money he earned from playing the voice of the plant in "Little Shop of Horrors".
They stayed together with no one leaving or a new singer replacing someone their whole career. Duke Fakir is the only one left.

In Birmingham, in the 80s. It was amazing and they pulled up to our table and had a drink with us. I think it was the temptations???
