Derek and the Dominos, after leaving Cream, he requested Son House to play the tour with all of them.

Son House was in the hospital at the time and could not make it.

The Rolling Stones were touring with Howling Wolf, whom they thought the world of, when they saw Howling Wolf go up to a slender old looking man and treat him with great reverence and respect.

“Who is that guy that Wolf is treating like a god?” “That’s Son House.”

Howling Wolf and Muddy Waters were taught by him. They said without him, there wouldn’t be any delta blues.

I don’t get that way often. I felt the raw emotion and power this man put into his blues. I had a feeling, this is a man who has lived the blues in a way I could never possibly understand and all I can do is listen in awe.
