Painful is the word I would use.

Granted, a tough piece to sing, but people, young and old, all over the country manage on a regular basis. I wonder if she was embarrassed by her performance? If I were her, I would be shedding tears of embarrassment.

Loved some of the guitarist’s facial expressions.
