On this day, April 18, 1952, "The Big Bopper" got married.

When I was a kid there was a beer joint down the road in Beaumont. I'd shoot pool with a half cue while standing on a milk crate drinking Cokes.

I found out the nice lady running the bar was once married to The Big Bopper, who's buried a few spaces over from the family.
