From Thomas Newman's masterful soundtrack, one of the reasons a friend of mine says, "This movie is like crack to me."

I had to buy a CD of this damn soundtrack when it came out. Truly one of the great masterpieces of cinematic music.

(IMHO)One of the best movies of all time. It's in the top 10 of my very favorites, and I'm a movie fanatic.

This pose of Andy Dufresne is one of the best movie posters ever made. If it happens to be on while I'm flipping through channels, I will stop and watch. Even though I can watch it on one of the cable stations in which I subscribe anytime I want to. It's the perfect movie.
