This is my MY high school days. Nobody had 8 tracks anymore when this album came out

I will say, this is the one and only actually pretty good solo Sammy Hagar album.

Other than that live one ... All Night Long I wanna say it was?

That one was solid.

It was the end of an era Mr. L - Quite a few "80s" bands released 8 tracks before they finally shut that bullshit down

And, compared to most early 80 rock, Sammy wasn't too bad - I thought 3 lock box had a few high points

I actually like Sammy's voice a lot but he wasn't the best songwriter. Yes, his albums usually had a few good songs ... but Standing Hampton is the only one where I'd listen to the whole thing, that was pretty solid disc.

I think you're being a little overly kind, when I think of the competition in the early 80's
Priest
Scorpions
Sabbath with Dio
Ozzy solo
Dio
Iron Maiden
Def Leppard
Billy Squier
Van Halen

Just off the top of my head.

Hell even Whitesnake was pretty good then ... or at least in 1984
