John Prine celebration coming in October

"Listeners and artists unable to give each other a collective "hug" when John Prine died of COVID-19 last year get an overdue chance to celebrate the late songwriting legend in person this fall.
The Prine family announced Tuesday plans for a week-long tribute to the storyteller that includes Nashville concerts at Ryman Auditorium, Basement East and CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
Called You Got Gold: Celebrating the Life & Songs of John Prine," festivities run Oct. 3-10, culminating on what would've been Prine's 75th birthday.

Lineups are yet to be announced, but a news release said each night plans for a unique collection of "friends performing and celebrating the legendary singer, songwriter and performers inimitable life and songs."
