How was your Monday? My wife & I had a fantastic day

We were part of a multifamily cookout. I grilled meat in the shade. This is so great.
Stop putting your grill in the sunshine.

Any how.

We Had kids of various ages playing in the yard and an inflatable pool.

We had a garage with several coolers and some comfy old couches.

My wife and a few other Japanese ladies hung out together for a minute or two..

All of the youngsters from all of our families rampaged around the yard until fatigue set in.

Such a great day all around.

All of us were military - active duty or retired.. All of us were fully vaxxed.

It had been months since I was in a group of people.

All of us were gassed. All of us were realistic

Quick question: why grill in the shade? Is it b/c it's cooler? MerryHolidays Jun 2021 #3
Given the time of year, yes. It's already hot standing in front of a hot grill, so why add to it Hugh_Lebowski Jun 2021 #4
My habit was to set up the tables and social area in the shade, with the grill set a ways off The Polack MSgt Jun 2021 #5

My brother and I took my niece with us on our yearly rounds to the various cemeteries where our relatives are buried, so we can clean the headstones. We got to 'introduce' her to family members she never had the chance to meet. Of course, I had stories to tell her about all of them.

Then we came back to my house. Her husband joined us (he's dealing with a torn Achilles tendon) and we enjoyed some Koegels Coney dogs with Flint style coney sauce, of course, drank some beer and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Also exposes you to sunburn.

But my friend's yard let us grill safely in a shaded area
