I haven't heard this song in decades, yikes!

As a teen I had at least one of their albums, maybe two. Loved the Oakland group.

- 'Very hard to go' and 'What is Hip?' are good hits too.

*The upper, anniv. version video is amazing- strong brass & vocal leads..

Given my late dad grew up in O-town, and all his sons were born there

He was always a huge supporter of Bay Area music, and ToP was always one of his faves. We went and saw them at Alameda County Fair together ... I wanna say around 1992 or 1993 probably? Cool show for me, and he was in heaven.

the concert was a blast. They are a super group-- in that 2008 anniv. video above- fabulous. I never got to Oakland, but saw SF. My mom loved SF, was there during WWII. Huey Lewis has strong ties to the area too.

Forgot it's Father Day, good catch. My dad was an original, a character and I was his favorite child which I never knew until 10 years ago. I miss him and mom too. C'est La vie! Carpe diem.

He's kinda the other main dude of that band, along with Huey.

Missing Pops today, we had some great times, went to a TON of great shows in the Bay Area over 40 years. He def. instilled in me my love of music.

He was very cool, super sweet and loving, and a frigging 'Young Man' til the day he died lol ...
