Not too much of a Sinatra fan, but this one's pretty good.

1. A "This American life" episode included this song. It was about a magic summer in N.Y.C.,

Lower East Side. It would be Friday nights. Someone set up a boom box on the steps of their porch, playing American Songbook material. Soon, neighbors joined in, just listening or dancing in the street. Then it happened, week after week.


One time, a cop pulls up and rolls down his window. ("Aw crap, here's where we get shut down for noise ordinance.)

Cop: "Can you play Summer Wind for me?"
