She is five years older than I am, but I have never been as young as she is.

Wish I had half of her energy and talent. In high school I went with a college friend to see her, Ike and the Ikettes perform. In the 80s I saw her again in concert after she'd left Ike and gone on her own to much success.

Here's a link about her more recent life- I haven't watched the film though. In the last 10 years Turner's had many serious heath difficulties but recent articles indicate that after a very low period she's is doing better thanks to a kidney that her loving husband donated to her.
