25. It's a great record.

“When I think of Heaven, deliver me in a black-winged bird
I think of flying down in your sea of pens and feathers
And all other instruments of faith and sex and God
In the belly of a black-winged bird”

Lyrics like that and T-Bone Burnett at the helm, you’re gonna go 7x platinum.

32. There's So Much Room...

...to play with the phrasing.
Durnitz plays with phrasing anyway. But, there's so much room I can lag or rush the lines as I feel, and it's still different than the way he does.
Our drummer commented back then that he enjoyed playing this one, too!

33. I love lyrics where they were written as a poem first and then the melody was discovered later,

as I suspect this one was. Trying to shoe-horn a lyrical phrase into an existing melody can sometimes be compromising, while “Rain King” and the like can be almost improvised melodically jazz-style and still work fantastically.

31. It's one of my favorite "warm-up" CDs to play along with on the drums.

Steve Bowman plays such beautifully understated drum parts throughout - every note is exactly what the song calls for and nothing more.

35. So people can still play even after answers were given

They can still look at the list of subject headers (click the `view all` link) and not see any answers unless they click into an individual message.

Not a big deal of course but I did ask at the top of the OP and I've done these threads often, and people like it this way

39. Bang Bang Bang!

Well done!

So I made the last two remaining a little easier than they were before, have another look.

One of them in particular I'm betting you know if you know the Replacements. Its very similar ... classic US alternative band, song is a couple years older.
