The costumes are so "groovy". The Jesus was not too bad looking either. Every Easter I play the album and watch the film. I am an atheist and I realized that the majority of what I know about the Bible stories comes directly from that album/film. Thank you Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The music, costumes and choreography are great.

working as the school nurse for a Catholic school. She said she planned to give the nuns the record of the show for Christmas. I was 20 at the time, and knew nothing about the show except the title, which sounded to me like some sort of spoof, parody, put down, etc - something disrespectful, maybe even pornographic.
I said to her, in horror, Mom, are you sure you want to give that to the nuns? Isnt that a dirty record?
How wrong I was.
