Sun Valley Serenade is the first of the only 2 movies featuring The Glenn Miller Orchestra (the other is 1942's Orchestra Wives). Besides "Chattanooga Choo Choo", other Glenn Miller tunes in the film are "Moonlight Serenade", "It Happened in Sun Valley", "I Know Why (and So Do You)", and "In the Mood".

music of bandleader Tommy Dorsey and others, live and outdoors. As little kids we saw some of the pretty long dresses they wore to dances. Being of the 70s generation and jeans! we thought that was so cool!
My aunt and her friends partied occasionally with handsome noted actor John Payne ('Miracle on 34th Street') of Roanoke, Va. He's playing the piano in the movie above, Sun Valley Serenade..
