I think when I was 16. This was one of my improv pieces. Piece of standard sheet music selected from 20 or so options. One time, straight through, then substitutions & embellishments 3x, then end. (Had to pick 2 each. The other that year was Misty, I think.)
My prepared piece that year was Richard Rodgers' "Slaughter on 10th Avenue".
