I am chasing Steve Cropper around the inner tubes tonight

Posted one with him sitting in with Ronnie Baker Brooks, and that sent me down the rabbit hole.

Here he is with Albert King and Pops freaking STAPLES on an album full of premier level versions of a dozen classics from the Cropper Songbook

By the Cropper Songbook, I mean a few songs he has a writer's or performer's credit on. Like this cover of Ray's anthem

This record is just too amazing. Albert is in prime form and Pops is in fine voice as well.

He's still kicking around Memphis

I wish I could say that I am so all knowing that I had this album since I was boy... Not the case.

I just found it and shared it here after 4 songs
