It's funny how "not that song" those guys look! Always thought that.
They did this song on some variety show back in the days, & I expected a much more clean-cut looking bunch.
But, I've always dug this song.

I had never seen a picture of the group before today, and I thought they didn't look the part at all. I don't know what I expected them to look like, but it wasn't like that.

Jersey boys.
The band started at Rutgers, but disbanded after college.
Two of the guys reformed the band as a part time thing, with 2 new guys.
That's when they had a couple of hits, including Brandy, which hit #1.
They went back to normal life after a few years, doing "vacation" tours for several years.
One of the original 2 died of AIDS in the 90s.

That gives some depth to the music. I'll think of that every time I hear them now, which is a good thing.
