Sparks! - Don Kirshner's Rock Concert (1974) and on Saturday Night Live (1982)

Always have loved these guys. This TV appearance on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert was, I believe, their TV debut in the States and it was certainly the one that made me a fan. It's in two parts. And don't miss the intro. If you have Peacock, see their Saturday Night Live debut hosted by Danny DeVito in 1982. They blew DeVito's mind. Be sure to see the movie about Sparks, "The Sparks Brothers," that came out last year. It's wonderful!!

If I was hosting SNL, they'd be my musical guest. They need to be back on there.

It was filmed at Magic Mountain in So. California. Every time we drove by there, I'd think of that.

Russell's the lead vocalist. The other one, the keyboard player, is Ron.
