i posted the song 'harlem river blues' the other day. it's a super catchy song about suicide.
as someone who had that in the back of my mind for most of my life, i find the song so oddly comforting. his dad singing it just reminds me that a good death is a thing. not that his is, but i've been comforted in my life knowing that i could end that pain if i wanted to.

I've seen several of his videos and enjoyed them a lot. I'm not too surprised he's gone, though. He was like I was at that age. Predicting how it all turned out was as uncertain as flipping a coin. Glad he was here to leave behind the work that he did. Wish he could have been with us for longer, but he lost the coin toss. Maybe he'll be luckier next time.
